God is pretty much awesome
POSTED AT 04:44 PM

Today is another day in what seems like a blur. BB has been the model of wonderful behavior all week, not to mention adorable. That's not entirely why God is so good though. I was relaxing this afternoon when the phone rang. I dread phone calls now because the only one that calls here is the realtor. He usually calls for one reason only, to end my relaxing (not on purpose). A family wanted to see the house in 20 minutes. I couldn't help but laugh as I heard BB crying himself to sleep (coming up on 45 minutes of wimpering) and looked around my messy kitchen. Gah! I told him 20 minutes wouldn't work but I could do an hour and 20. He called back and asked if 7pm would work. Um, no, that is worse than 20 minutes. I can't imagine waking BB up after he'd gone to bed for the night just for a showing. He had another time which was later than the 20 minutes but way earlier than the hour 20 that I figured was the best compromise despite my complaints. I raced around the house cleaning and hiding things while BB finally fell asleep. Once it was time to leave BB woke up on his own! This probably doesn't sound like a big deal but it is. For each of these inconvenient and fruitless visits BB has always been perfect, too perfect. I realized as I drove away from the house that this was totally a God thing. I have been filled with anxiety about so much of this and God was taking away one of my stressors each and every time. Now all we need is for God to bring us a buyer!

I hid in the car across the street this time so I could see who was looking at our house. It was a couple with a small baby and toddler. I'm happy about this because they won't mind the baby stuff as much as people without kids. If I hadn't known there was a toddler in the house I probably wouldn't have noticed that some stuff was played with. Twilight turtle was on, toys moved, hand prints on mirrors etc. Hopefully it's a sign that he's already made himself at home smile.gif. They didn't look at any of the other houses that are for sale on our street, but that's probably because they gave them no notice too. They spent a considerable amount of time outside talking, but who know if that means anything. Time will tell I guess.

Kait, the third book is really good. I was annoyed at first (to the point where I didn't even want to read it) and then it became impossible to put down. I'll let you know how the next one is when I get to it.

I picture you and BB sitting in the car staking out your house with black Raybans on. You have your baby monitor rigged up to twighlight turtle as you're munching on coffee and doughnuts...timbits for BB. :P

I can't believe I'm going to say this...you are G-E-N-I-U-S. I don't know why I didn't think to actually do some sort of surveillance. Between the baby monitors and the phones I could have listened in to all areas of the house. If only I was on better terms with the neighbours to the East, I could have set up a full operation from their house.

**On an odd note I did have a coffee and treat from TImmies and was wearing sunglasses to hide my non-makeup-ed eyes. Are you spying on me or am I just predictable (Canada/Timmies/locked out of ones home)? I actually had to check to see if I had posted those details, which I did not...odd**
